La
pregunta suena amenazante: ¿y por qué no homenajear a
la banda más influyente de los ´90? Quizás así,
surgió la idea de dedicar enteramente un disco a Red Hot Chili
Peppers, un grupo que no deja de ser actual y que, a lo largo de
su trayectoria no dejó de innovar y ofrecer a su público
algo diferente, en todo sentido.
De esta manera se convocaron 14 bandas independientes para que formen
parte de "Ajiputaparió", el disco tributo a
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Y esto es lo que lo hace interesante:
por un lado se puede conocer otra faceta de los homenajeados y por otro,
descubrir diferentes bandas que pueblan el universo under y que por
pertenecer a él no dejan de mostrar su talento.
Algunos quisieron variar las versiones originales, otros se dedicaron
a conservarlas pero siempre plasmando su toque personal, hasta se arriesgaron
a cantarlas en español, y para cada uno de los participantes
fue un desafío, una meta que musicalmente lograron alcanzar.
Los
pampeanos Rey Momo abren el disco con Road Trippin usando
como reemplazo único un nostálgico bandoneón; sin
duda, una versión cautivante. Timmy O´Tool no le
tuvo miedo a Around The World y lo interpreta de una manera muy
potente conservando la frescura del funk de RHCP. Andiscos eligió
Blood Sugar Sex Magik mezclada a su vez con otro hit, transformándolo
en un tema rapeado que juega con dos voces: muy creativo. Ritual
hace sonar su metal auténtico y su esplendor en cortes sorpresivos
brindando una versión salvaje de Suck My Kiss. Fieles
a su gusto rítmico, Asesino Serial Hawaiano conserva la
frescura de Knock Me Down. Mientras tanto, Pichi recrea
la interesante balada solitaria Under The Bridge, dándole
el vuelo y la oscuridad que se merece. Vientos, bombo legüero,
muchos detalles y un final desconcertante en Naked In The Rain
a cargo de Los Pie. Además, una versión exquisita
de Il Phantasmo que se atrevió a interpretar Parallel
Universe en formato tecno-raver. El reggae pegadizo de Los Políticos
se hace escuchar en The Greeting Song. Funk metal y una voz bien
argentina para Coffe Shop llevada a cabo por La Ira de Jaqke.
Con la excentricidad de siempre, Maldición de Pensarlo Todo
se decidió por Breaking The Girl armonizándolo
con un estilo muy sugerente. Otherside tocado por los chilenos
Ribo quienes se encargaron de llenarlo de agresividad alejándolo
del original. Con los aportes electrónicos de DJ Batti y
la participación de Poompiwom, I could have lied
se presenta como la versión fría de un tema cálido.
Con Monos en la Nuca explota el funk nacional y se animan a mostrarlo
en My Lovely Man.
Ajiputaparió
no tiene desperdicio y muy pronto estará a la venta en disquerías
especializadas, vía internet y en los shows.

The
question sound menacing:
And why not a tribute to the most influential band of the '90s? Maybe
that is how the idea to dedicate entirely a whole Album to the Red
Hot Chili Peppers, a group that still in the forefront in the music
world and all along its long trajectory was always innovative and never
fail to offer something different to their followers.
Therefor, 14 independent bands were called to be part of "Ajiputaparió"
The Tribute Album to the RHCP. And this is what it is interesting: One,
you can get to know another face of the RHCP and second; you can discover
different bands that exists in the "Under Universe" and even
though that they do not belong to it, does not prevent them from showing
their incredible talent.
Some wanted to make a variation of original versions, some others decided
to keep the original versions adding a personal touch, even going as
far as to take the risk of singing them in Spanish. And to every participant
was a challenge, a musical goal that was reached at the end.
The pampeanos (NT: people from the Pampas) "Rey Momo"
Open the Album with "Road Trippin", using a unique
replacement a nostalgic Bandoneon. Without a doubt a captivating version.
"Timmy O'Tool" did not feared "Around the World"
and made an interpretation in a very potent way, conserving the freshness
of the RHCP's funk.
"Andiscos" chose "Blood Sugar Sex Magik"
and mixed with another hit, transforming in a Rap song that play with
two voices: Very creative.
"Ritual"makes his authentic metal sound and its splendor
in surprising brakes giving us a savage version of "Suck My
Kiss".
Loyal to their rhythmic taste, "Asesino Serial Hawaiano",
conserved the freshness in "Knock Me Down". At the
same time, "Pichi" recreates the interestingly lonely
ballad, "Under the Bridge", giving the freedom and
darkness that deserves.
Winds, Bombos Legüeros, a lot of details and a very estrange ending
in "Naked in The Rain" by "Los Pie".
Also, an exquisite version of "Il Phantasmo" that "Parallel
Universe" dares to interpret in a Techno-Rave format. The sticky
reggae of "Los Politicos" is heard in "The
Greeting Song".
Funk Metal and a very Argentinean voice for "Coffe Shop"
played by "La Ira de Jaqke". With its known characteristic
"Maldicion de Pensarlo Todo" choose "Breaking
the Girl", harmonizing with a very suggested style.
"Otherside", played by the chileans "Ribo"
that were in charge of filling up of aggressiveness and splitting too
far from the original.
With the electronic participation of "Poompiwon & DJ Batti",
"I Could Have Lied" is presented as an cold version
of a worm song.
With "Monos en La Nuca" the national funk explode and
they dear to show it in "My Lovely Man"
Ajiputaparió has not wasted tracks and will be for sale
in unique and eccentric Music Stores, via Internet and in Shows around
the country.
